Little b is under the weather. There went my BodyPUMP class, but NO worries. I cranked up some tunes and did this little circuit:
Sick Kid Work Out
50 Pushups
40 Jumping Jacks
30 Squats (all different types)
20 Tricep Pushups…Yes, finally able to do them.
10 Alternating Leg Lunges…do at least 2 sets. But that’s more than 10!
***And for an extra kick, repeat the circuit one or two more times!
And if that’s not motivation enough, have you thought about swimsuit season?
It’s hard as we get a little bit older, isn’t it? Not too old to wear a ‘kini, but still have to chase around the kids at the pool. Or maybe another year has brought another bit of skin in an unwanted area? Tankinis? One piece? Bikini? Cover Up?
Thought: What do you feel beautiful and self confident in? And that is your answer…
Question: What is your favorite type of suit to wear? AND: wear do you buy your swimsuits from? Lastly, what are your thoughts on the vintage suits? Check out Anthropologie for pics.
Check out these sites for some cute suits!
Not too shabby for a one piece…

UGH swin suit season! We rented a condo on sanibel island in June, so that’s been my end date. But last week we booked a long weekend in Hilton head for the weekend after next. So… I need a swim suit ASAP. I love the one I bought last year, but I can’t find it, I’m pretty sure I left it in Clearwater. I’m cheap so all of mine come from target or old navy. I guess I’m a bikini girl w/ a cover up. But I only wear swim suits at the beach… I’m not a big pool swimmer and since I’m no longer in Florida, the beach doesn’t happen too often.
Thanks for always giving me feedback! you ROCK!
Well, I don’t have the same swimsuit issues that you ladies have…I basically have the choice between swim trunks or a mankini. I’ll stick with the shorts.
I like the idea of a “sick kid workout.” You could call it ANYTHING and have it be just as effective. For me, it might be the “trying to balance full-time work, full-time school, youth-group volunteering and being a good husband” workout…even without kids I can’t seem to find the time to get the workout I need. Last year, before I went back to school, I actually completed the p90x program, the Insanity program AND trained for a half marathon. Then school started…and I’ve lost all the work I put into it. UGH.
Anyway, thanks for the reminder that even when things are hectic we can (and should) still get that workout in. Cheers!
I will have to share some of my favorite workout DVDs with you–there are some great home workouts to do that way, too!
What do I feel most comfortable in? Hmmm…are ski clothes an option at the pool?
