Harvest Salad-oh so Fit!

I have found the most yummy salad,:The Harvest Salad.  There are lots of things that make me happy in life–fruit in a salad is definitely on the list!  Take a look below:

  • Bag of Lettuce-Romaine
  • Spring Onions
  • Granny Smith Apples
  • Mandarin Oranges
  • Slivered Almonds (leave them dry or sugar coat them-melted butter, add sugar, stir and add almonds, spread on greased foil in single layer–break up)  leaving them dry is more FIT..but the sugar tastes yummy too!
  • Craisins
  • Feta or Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • Snack Sprouts
  • Avacados
  • Add Grilled Chicken or Salmon if you like

Dressing

  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tbs finely chopped parsley
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 2 tbs apple cider vinegar

To have a healthier dressing, choose oil and vinegar.

This salad is amazing, refreshing and down right fantastic!  Give it a try–dinner, lunch, snack–savor every bite!
