I am so glad you all wrote in with your favorite Go-To Breakfasts!  We often get stuck in such a rut and need some inspiration, don’t we?  66 ideas later, and I just had to share a few:

  • Hard boiled egg with a touch of hot sauce (B would love this!!)
  • Crunchy Almond butter on Whole Wheat Toast with Sugar Free Strawberry Preserves
  • Egg Whites Scrambled with seasonings, toast and Mango Chobani
  • My breakfast every morning is Chobani Yogurt! Starts my day off right with plenty of protien to keep my from getting hungry before lunch and is so yummy! I <3 Chobani!  (Just had to share this whole comment!!) Way to go Stacy!
  • My favorite go to breakfast is blood orange Chobani, banana, raw oats, and chia seeds. Yum!  (Chia seeds are on my grocery list today!)
  • Overnight oats have been my go-to breakfast this past week! So delicious, versatile and delicious! Mmm.  (Also on my list to try!)
  • Boiled egg whites and pico di gallo! With a slice of toast.
  • Kefir Fruit Smoothie—( I need to look this up!)
  • Mine is a Greek Yogurt Waffle Sandwich–see the above picture! OR any type of Oatmeal.
  • And of course, so many of you love Chobani!  Top flavors posted were Mango and Blood Orange.

You guys are so inspirational.  I remember the days of Cinnamon Toast Crunch–we have all come a long way!  So, take a look at the list and pick one new breakfast option to try.  Yes, it is the most important meal of the day!

Question: If you didn’t write in last time, what is your favorite breakfast??  Please share with us!

2 Recipes you MUST try…

Just got back from an awesome Zumba class and am staring  into the blue skies here in Portsmouth.  Looks like it’s warm, but actually only about 45 degrees.  Guess that is warm for here?!  Don’t even want to hear about the 80 degree temps in my hometown. :)

B has been traveling, so I got to eat whatever I wanted for dinner last night.  Gotta love those nights.  I ate my favorite meal of the day: breakfast for dinner!

Just had to share my Heavenly Oatmeal:

  • Old Fashioned or Rolled Oats
  • 1 Egg
  • Soy Milk, Organic milk or milk of your choice
  • Cinnamon
  • Agave
  • Splash of water
  • Dried Apricots (from Trader Joe’s of course)
  • Apples-chopped up

Pour oats into a sauce pan.  Add milk, just enough to cover the oats.  Then add a splash of water for more liquid.  Stir in the egg and bring mixture to a boil.  Turn down the heat and cook until oats are starting to turn fluffy.  Add apples and apricots, cinnamon and splash of agave.  Continue to stir until all or most of the liquid is absorbed.  I usually make enough for another meal …so yes, I had this again for breakfast.  Seriously the best oatmeal I have ever made!  The egg makes all the difference!

And a follow up to a past post:

Last week I posted about a Granola that we should all try….myself included.

This took me a total of 20ish minutes to prep.  It baked for 45-50 minutes and we had snacks/breakfast for 5 days.  I couldn’t stop eating it, so sadly it is all gone now. Anyway, it was delicious and such a great option instead of sugary grocery store granola.  Take a minute to read the Granola Post and print out the recipe.  Or feel free to Pin it!
